Satin Sheet Deception

Deliciously devious
Cracks a smug smile
The wink of an eye
Vixen’s walked two miles
Red satin and beds
All for his paycheck
Genie in Cognac
Kissing his neck
Rosy lips lie in his ear
It’s [not] worth the deception
Seductive fingers make the path
Lips to chocolate confection
A night of movie romance
At the price of a marriage
He lays alone now
Taxi cab his shameful carriage

  1. At least the protagonist has a conscience. That does make such episodes all the more thrilling (I am told).

Well done. You cap it off with two especially wonderful lines; they had me re-reading your poem to “figure out” more of what you were trying to convey.
