For the record, DaVinci and Picasso, I don’t claim to be.
Rough around the edges creations
Is all that you will see
Yet it is one of my favorite vocations

Paintings/Drawings

Untitled (Everlasting Life) 2011

Untitled 2011 – It’s to represent the idea of everlasting life. The body is actually stone, with cracks emanating from the point of contact with the chain. The Kokopelli shows fertility while the Egyptian Ankh suggests eternity. (The small symbol above the cloth is an Adikran symbol meaning “energy”; my signature on the painting)

Life in the Palm of Your Hand 2011

“Life in the Palm of Your Hand” 2011 – I wanted to capture the fragility of life without resorting to a broken body on the floor. Acrylic/Water Color Mediums.

Fantasy Frolic 2011

“Fantasy Frolic” 2011 – A fantastical traipse after orbs afloat, a pixie like figure does her time devote. Acrylic.

Untitled 2011

“Untitled” 2011 – Sorry for the lack of definition in the photo. Mac cameras suck. This piece was originally destined for something entirely different featuring the backside of the woman but I picked up the unfinished piece over a year later and decided to change it. Meant to be a robotic being, delicately pieced together, whilst the armor around the hips would suggest built in protection. Acrylic.

Boogeyman Abstract 2011

“Boogeyman Abstract” 2011 – Experimenting with different techniques. The texture and most of the coloring resulted from globs of paint on the canvas, rolled over with your basic #2 pencil. Acrylic.

Red Abstract 2011

“Red Abstract” 2011 – Again, experimenting with the pencil rolled through acrylic paint. Features the Andikran “energy” symbol again as a signature.

Dancing With Death 2010

“Dancing with Death” 2010 – Mechanical pencil drawing I did for a friend of mine. The intricacies are lost from the poor definition. The woman is seen dancing in front of an above-ground tomb. The Angel of Grief weeps above her, as the door of the tomb reveals Hell. Her clothing, or lack thereof, insinuates a temptation of sin while her open/suggestive position confirms it.

The Problem with Religion 2010

“The Problem with Religion” 2010 – Mechanical pencil drawing I did for a different friend. Originally, it was meant to be a ghoul but transformed once again into a representation of temptation. So many people cling to a faith or a “god” of sorts. Yet, the temptation to turn from it, hide amongst the dirt and the grime of those they call sinners is overwhelming. The clean lines of the cross are to show the seemingly straight edge lines of religion whilst the demonic being is overpowering the simplistic shape and consuming the entirety of the picture.

Lucid Dream 2011

“Lucid Dream” 2011 – Little piece I did in an attempt to show in a picture my friend’s description of a roll on Ecstasy. His words were almost poetic in a sense which led me to imagine it to put on canvas. Acrylic. The background was done, again, with a #2 pencil rolled over globs of paint but the canvas was incredibly absorbent and so, smoothed out rough edges and created a much more fluid background.

Untitled 2011

“Untitled” 2011 – Acrylic paint. Inspired by a photograph of a nude woman lounging. Picture quality doesn’t capture all the shadowing but it’s a camera on a Mac so yeah…
