About Koogimama

I learned a long time ago that your parents will always be right, no matter how bad you want them to be wrong.
You’re always going to have the opportunity to learn something new, no matter how old you are.
There’s always a way out of your situation, no matter how hopeless things seem.
You will always leave an impression on someone, no matter how brief the opportunity to do so is.

No matter how old you get, somewhere there is a rock you have yet to overturn and an experience you have yet to know.

I am still young, still learning and still filled with the energy of youth.
I may write of the sad days, the angry days and the hopeless days but I will counter it with poems of hope, inspiration and life.

As a young college dropout, I have a life full of blessings and wonderful people. I have a job that leaves me a little cash leftover each paycheck. I have a family that has stuck through my tumultuous life and welcomed me with open arms every time I came home. I have a loving man who will one day be my husband. I have the best of friends any one could ask for, always there for a laugh or a cry. I also have a dog, who can be pretty stupid at times, but still loves me unconditionally.

This blog is to share my thoughts, my poems, my disappointments and my recoveries. To let someone else in the world know that they are not alone. I want to offer personal experiences for others to find, as I did not know I had that gift when I was younger.

So read on if you will. Read on with my thoughts and hopefully, it will leave you with a smile.
